Three people, including two children, were injured Thursday morning when a school bus rear-ended a pickup truck causing a chain-reaction crash, police say.

According to Benbrook police, four vehicles were involved in the crash, including a school bus that was transporting students to Fort Worth's Arlington Heights High School.

Police said the bus ran into the back of a pickup truck which was stopped at a traffic light on the 8900 block of Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377.

The pickup was pushed into the back of an SUV which was pushed into the back of a van. Police say the pickup truck driver had to be cut out of his vehicle after the collision.

The driver of the pickup truck and two students on the bus were injured and transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries. Officials said 15 students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

There were no other injuries reported.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.  Police have not said what charges, if any, the bus driver may face.

Editor's note: Original information incorrectly identified one of the victims as the bus driver. As this is a developing story, details may change.
